Digital revolution at the hairdresser: KLIPP into the new app now!

The innovative hairdresser KLIPP - the country's largest hairdressing service provider with over 160 hairdressing salons throughout Austria - based in beautiful Thalheim in Upper Austria, has been in the digital fast lane since the end of 2023.

With the launch of the "KLIPP Bonusclub App", the next milestone was set as part of a well thought-out digitalisation strategy.

The aim was to take the topic of loyalty to a new level for the company's own customers - loyalty should really pay off and not be rewarded with little things like a branded pen after the twelfth salon visit, as is the case elsewhere.

At the same time, the aim was to create added value within the company, for example through high-quality and well-structured customer data, 1:1 customer contact and process optimisation through efficient digital tools.

With two international awards and numerous positive responses from customers, the success of the new KLIPP hairdressing app is evident on several levels!

Implementation step-by-Step

The process was as well thought out as it was structured: In a three-month test phase, the new app solution was first put through its paces in six salons.

The official go-live was then on 12 February 2024, when all 160 salons in Austria were converted to the new digital solution. Within a month before the final changeover, all employees were trained accordingly.

The app appeared in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store after a few months of development and ongoing updates on development progress.
